We love talking about the business of retirement. Here are a number of questions (and answers) you may find helpful.

While we're proud of our Buffalo, NY roots and local relationships, we provide retirement plan administration, consulting and services for plans across the United States.
P&A Retirement Plan Services, Inc. is part of the P&A Group of companies. In addition to supporting retirement plan sponsors and advisors, the P&A Group also offers FSA, HRA, Transportation and COBRA administration services for clients across the country.
P&A provides investment advisory services to a limited number of legacy clients.  We do not actively market this capacity today and prefer to establish professional relationships with other investment advisory firms.

We think that our experience in this regard sets us apart from others as we offer plan sponsors and advisors our insights and experience.
P&A offers plan sponsors a choice between an asset based fee model or a participant-based fee model. We believe that in most scenarios, our participant-based pricing model offers a highly competitive solution.
P&A believes that as an “open-architecture” recordkeeper, we shouldn’t place artificial restrictions on the investment choices we make available to our plan sponsors and their advisors. And because we don’t manufacture our own investment products, we also don’t have minimum requirements for any investments in our plans.  In other words, plan sponsors and their advisors are the ones who decide which investments to include in their plans, subject only to the investment’s minimum requirements.
Our policy is to return all revenue we receive from investment companies back to plan participants, typically by way of an “ERISA account” (revenue sharing account) which we use to offset fees charged against plan assets.
We understand what it means to be in your shoes. We present a highly competitive solution for retirement plan recordkeeping and administration with an open architecture approach to thousands of mutual funds, ETFs and Collective Investment Funds and support our relationships with comprehensive programs for plan sponsors and participants. Through service (a dedicated senior plan administrator for your plan), technology (SmartPlan and an easy-to-use participant website) and choice (thousands of mutual funds, ETFs and Collective Investment Funds to build your investment offerings from).  P&A also provides Section 125 and COBRA plan administration and recordkeeping services.
At P&A, we begin by spending the time to really understand your goals and to help you define an appropriate plan design to get there. We offer an open architecture platform that supports an expansive array of thousands of mutual funds, ETFs and Collective Investment Funds upon which you and your advisor may select your investment offerings.

Once your plan is established, we provide a dedicated senior administrator for your plan along with sophisticated web tools that help streamline data exchange, report delivery, and other communications.
P&A provides retirement plan participants with access to leading web-based tools and technologies on our retirement website. In addition to reviewing and updating their activity, participants can take advantage of vWise SmartPlan interactive and video-based learning.
